Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie (born November 24, 1982) is an American political commentator from the United States. She was previously a political candidate, and also hosting a TV show on MSNBC, a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and former co-host of the show The Hill's Rising alongside Saagar Enjeti. In the month of May, 2021 Ball and Enjeti announced that they were quitting the show in order to launch their own project called Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar. Ball hosts Krystal Kyle & Friends' podcast alongside Kyle Kulinski. She has made guest appearances on networks such as CNN, CNBC, Fox News as well as programs like Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball was married to Jonathan Dariyanani as of 2020. Ball attributes her new political interest due to her experience as a mother during the 2008 primary elections. Furthermore, she was a witness to the US presidential election during her time in Jordan. She was able observe how the outcome affected people living in Jordan and, as a result, gained an appreciation of the global impact US politics have on the lives of all people in the world. She was a Senior Fellow at the New Leaders Council. Ball was nominated by the Democratic Party to represent Virginia's 1st Congressional District in the election of 2010. But she was defeated by Rob Wittman. From June 2012 until July 2015, she hosted the MSNBC program The Cycle. In May of 2017, she founded the People's House Project, a political action committee working on behalf of Democratic causes.
